GRAY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Stewart Taylor of TriElite Holdings has put in an interest bid of $1,507,000 for the Gray Library property, according to the Washington County, Tennessee government.

The bid came through Taylor Property LP #1, TriElite Holdings’ parent company.

Thursday, the Gray Library property was in an online auction as the county and library board considered a move from the location.

The deeded acreage amount for the 5026 Bobby Hicks Highway property is 1.86 acres.

According to the county, there were many bidders in Thursday’s auction, but the highest bidder came from Taylor.

Taylor told News Channel 11 over the phone that he doesn’t have any particular plans in mind for the property but believes it’s a good property to invest in.

He said many people want Chick-fil-A to move to that space, but he’s not sure of that happening yet. Taylor said he’s reaching out to many groups.

Washington County commissioners are set to discuss the bids presented in the auction this Thursday in their meeting at 4 p.m.
