WJTV receives 2024 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – WJTV 12 News has won a 2024 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Sports Reporting.

The Radio Television Digital News Association announced Region 9 winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards on Thursday, May 23. Region 9 comprises Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

WJTV 12 News received the award for:

Tornado Destroys Amory’s Baseball Field, but Strengthens Team’s Spirit in State Championship Run

WJTV’s David Edelstein reported on the story.

The Regional Murrow award recipients will advance to the National Murrow Award competition. The winners will be announced in March.
