They were notified just before 1:30 p.m. that the helicopter, which was used for agricultural services, crashed for unknown reasons as it was nearing its fuel truck.

The pilot, who was identified as 51-year-old Jason Wimberly, of Jackson, Mississippi, died from his injuries. A person standing next to the fuel truck was injured when they were struck by the helicopter’s landing skids, troopers said.
