Veterans honored in North Lima ahead of Memorial Day

NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WKBN) — With Memorial Day Monday, veterans were honored Sunday during the annual Memorial Day Procession and Ceremonies.

Sons of The American Legion Mahoning Valley Squadron 15 held six memorials at local Briarfield Assisted Living Facilities, including one at The Inn at Glenellen in North Lima.

This is the organization’s sixth year honoring those who have and currently are serving — which includes naming all the vets who lived in each facility.

Squadron 15 holds these ceremonies for residents and veterans who aren’t able to go out — so they can still remember those who fought.
