AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A former downtown Youngstown restaurant has opened its doors in a new location.

Prima Cucina Italiana is now located at the former location of Upstairs Catering on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown.

According to Sommelier Adam Zagotti, the restaurant moved due to the Realty building explosion and ongoing construction. He says they hope to be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and that customers can expect changes going forward.

“We redid the upstairs deck outside, and it’s beautiful. It’s all brand new — outdoor dining option. Not yet, but soon, it’s ready to go. Then, eventually, we’ll be using the upstairs floor — the original Upstairs — here for banquets or parties,” Zagotti said.

He said the restaurant plans to eventually have something downtown again.
