    Arrest made in Red Roof Inn homicide, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says

    ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection to a December 2023 homicide at a Red Roof Inn.

    According to an ECSO Facebook post , Delarius M. Riley Jr. was arrested. He is accused of second-degree murder and discharging a firearm in public.

    The homicide occurred on Dec. 7, 2023, at the Red Roof Inn on Plantation Road.

    LOCATION:

    “Prior to the homicide, Riley had been communicating with the victim through an LBGQT+ dating site,” the ECSO Facebook post said.

    The post also said investigators believe Riley may have communicated with others.
