    Mississippi man arrested for allegedly strangling and holding a gun to woman’s head

    OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A man from Mississippi has been arrested after he allegedly strangled a woman and held a gun to her head in Destin on Friday night, according to a Facebook post from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

    24-year-old Gabriel Castillo, from Laurel, Mississippi, has been charged with aggravated assault and domestic battery by strangulation just after midnight on Saturday.

    Deputies were called out to a reported incident in Destin late Friday night. Castillo reportedly ran from the scene.

    He was eventually found and charged for the incident.

    Castillo is being held at the Okaloosa County Jail with no bond.

    Okaloosa County officials say the victim is recovering.
