ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – School districts have switched to e-learning Thursday morning due to the impact of severe weather.

Due to electrical outages, blocked roads and downed trees across the Upstate, the following school districts will have an e-Learning day for students:

    • Greenwood School District 52
    • Anderson School District 2
    • Anderson School District 5

Greenwood School District 52 Superintendent Beth Taylor stated, “There is currently an electrical pole down in Ninety Six and the minimum estimated time to restore power will not allow us to operate on a normal schedule today.”

“As always, we made this decision to ensure the safety of our students and staff at all of our schools.”

Stephens County Schools in Georgia have made the decision to close school due to severe weather conditions.
