GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — On this “To The Point,” voters in Michigan are on the radar of both the Democratic and the Republican presidential campaigns.

As one of a handful of toss-up or battleground states, the candidates and their surrogates are making regular stops in the state, looking for voters and trying to make sure their supporters turn out on Election Day.

Last week, former President Trump made not one but two trips to Michigan.

On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris will be in the state, and President Joe Biden is expected to be in Michigan toward the end of next week.

Just on Thursday, Doug Emhoff, Harris’ husband, was in Kentwood, and on Tuesday, U.S. Sen. JD Vance, the Republican nominee for vice president, was near Big Rapids.

We’ll hear part of what both men said while campaigning in battleground Michigan on this “To The Point.”
