Easton Backyard Campout Weekend
EASTON, Maine (WAGM) - The Easton recreation department held their first ever camping extravaganza today to kick off their annual backyard campout scheduled for this weekend. The camping extravaganza launched Eastons 5th annual backyard campout event. The extravaganza had kid-friendly activities like a petting zoo, inflatable axe throwing game, friendship bracelet stand, and the pillowcase project which is a disaster preparedness informative program. Presque Isle and Fort Fairfield pitmasters take top BBQ cook-off trophies
After pulling an all-nighter preparing feasts, five barbecue groups took home trophies in the Chamber’s Smokin’ BBQ Cook-off on Saturday. The sixth annual event, sponsored by the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce, took place on the first day of the Maine Potato Blossom Festival in Fort Fairfield, drawing cooks from The County and beyond.
