WORCESTER — William Rodriguez, sought by police in connection with the slaying of a mother and daughter , recorded a video message hours before the killing in which he accuses the daughter of cheating on him, according to court records.

Rodriguez had been dating the daughter, Ana Maria Martinez.

He also left a note, later found in his apartment, which reads, in Spanish: “Women who make mistakes will receive what is coming,” according to court records in Central District Court.

Rodriguez, 59, is wanted on a warrant charging him with armed assault to murder, according to court records.

He remained on the run Monday afternoon.

He has been sought by police since Saturday afternoon, when the bodies of a mother and daughter, Martinez, 58, and her mother, Sergia Acosta, 76, were found in Apt. 918 at Webster Square Towers. A family member confirmed the names.

They had been stabbed to death.

An extensive search for Rodriguez followed the discovery of the bodies, with police terming him armed and dangerous.

“Rodriguez is a clear flight risk, and a strong possibility of a future commission of a crime with bodily injury,” Sgt. Ryan Stone wrote in his statement of facts.

The report said Martinez and Rodriguez were in a dating relationship.

Fourteen minutes before the multiple 911 calls about the two bodies at the apartment, police emergency communications received calls for a well-being check on Rodriguez. The callers, whose identities are listed as “known to the Commonwealth,” reported that Rodriguez had left his car and keys at one of the callers' homes and left on foot, according to the statement of facts.

Rodriguez sent a video message earlier that day referencing his girlfriend “cheating” on him, according to the statement of facts.

Surveillance video from 1060 Main St. shows him entering and exiting Apt. 918 multiple times Saturday, court records show. Rodriguez is the last person seen coming or going from the apartment until the 911 callers are seen going into the apartment, according to the statement of facts.

Rodriguez is known to police. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2004 slaying of his wife Carmen L. Rodriguez, the mother of his three children.

He was originally charged with murder, later pleading guilty to a reduced charged. He was sentenced to 15 to 20 years in prison.

The attack culminated several years of domestic violence, numerous restraining orders and visits by authorities to the couple's apartment when they lived together at 64 Tacoma St., according to court records and neighbors interviewed at Great Brook Valley 20 years ago.

A forensic psychologist who evaluated William Rodriguez in court in March 2005 said the suspect reported a history of psychiatric treatment in Puerto Rico and also related that he had been experiencing auditory hallucinations for many years.
