SULPHUR, OK (WOWK) — Amid the devastation after an EF-3 tornado with winds up to 165 mph leveled much of the downtown area, relief workers and power crews worked furiously in hot weather to restore any part of normalcy that they could Tuesday.

Kentucky-based storm chaser Chris Hall says the town of Sulphur looks devastated but also says electric crews have made progress restoring power poles, and he and others in his relief cooking crew have handed out some 700 meals so far since arriving.

A curfew was set in place overnight in Sulphur until 6:30 a.m. Central time.

Hall says there will be weeks if not months of work ahead in just the town of Sulphur alone.

The full video of the conversation with Chris Hall on location can be seen directly below.
