    Tipton County Schools getting $17.3M to rebuild after tornado

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — FEMA is giving $17.3 million to the the Tipton County Board of Education to rebuild Crestview Middle School in Covington, which was destroyed by a tornado and storms one year ago.

    The school also has $10.3 million in insurance payouts to cover part of the restoration.

    Students have been housed in temporary buildings since the storms of March, 2023.
