    Midlothian Library to host crafting events beginning in June

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Looking to set aside some dedicated time for your creative practice? The Midlothian Library in Chesterfield County will begin hosting “crafternoon” events beginning in June.

    Crafternoons will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library on the first and third Monday of every month, beginning on June 3.

    Attendees will have the opportunity to work on their own project, share ideas and get inspired by other creatives. The event series is open to all skill levels and registration for each crafternoon opens two weeks ahead.

    Need some crafty ideas to get you started? Try one of these:

    • Fiber arts: Knitting, crochet, macrame, felting, hand-sewing, nalbinding/nalbinding or weaving
    • Jewelry-making: Beading, wire wrapping, braiding or friendship bracelet-making
    • Paper crafts: Scrapbooking, bookbinding, origami, collage, quilling or paper weaving
    • Visual arts: Watercolor painting, gouache painting or sketching
