    Rangers to lead hike around Swift Creek Lake in Pocahontas State Park

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Looking to spend the holiday immersed in nature? Rangers will lead a hike around Swift Creek Lake at Pocahontas State Park in the afternoon on Memorial Day.

    The hike will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, May 27, with the group meeting at the Swift Creek Boat Launch within the park, located at 10301 State Park Road.

    The hike spans about two miles and is geared toward all ages, though younger children may need to be in a carrier. The trail is hiking only with some roots and inclines.

    Attendees are asked to dress for the weather.
