3 killed, 2 injured in car crash Saturday

EVANS COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said three people died in a crash that involved two vehicles Saturday near the Evans County line, just south of SR 169.

According to GSP, a blue Nissan Rogue was traveling south in the left, NB lane of SR 73 and struck a white Ford head on, that was traveling in the left NB lane of SR 73.

The GSP says 3 adult occupants in the Nissan Rogue passed away on scene. The fourth occupant was transported to a hospital in Statesboro.

The two occupants in the Ford suffered serious injuries, according to the GSP, and were airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Savanah.

GSP says troopers are actively investigating the crash.
