Upstate fire district at “halfway point” of new construction

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Construction continues on the new home of the The Boiling Springs Fire District in Greenville County.

According to the fire district, crews celebrated last week reaching the “halfway point” of construction on a home for the district’s headquarters.

To mark the milestone, firefighters, officers and commissioners signed a steel beam which will become part of the station.

While work continues on the new headquarters , the fire district is preparing to announce a new fundraising effort to move its 9/11 Memorial Plaza to the new location.
