HSRZ Preview: Hendersonville Bearcats

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – With high school football just around the corner, the Hendersonville Bearcats are previewed ahead of the 2024 season which kicks off on August 23.

Hendersonville Bearcats:

2023 record: 4-6

Head Coach: Kirron Ward, 3rd season

Key Returners:

JaRon Ward (QB), Hezzie Rudisill (RB), Amir Albany (WR), Ace Smith (WR)

Key Losses:

TJ Lattimore (FS), Matthew Spanks (OL), Jawwon Pace (OL)

Preview:

The Bearcats return just about everybody from last season, including sophomore quarterback JaRon Ward, who had 17 touchdowns his freshman season, and wide receivers Amir Albany and Ace Smith. The centerpiece of the attack is running back Hezzie Rudisill who has rushed for over 1,000 each season.

Most of the defensive line returns as well as those at linebacker and defensive back.
