We’re raising a glass to craft creations from Winston-Salem breweries. They’re spots known for more than just beer — they’ve got activities and events that create community.

Brouwerij DuBois , 5603 Country Club Rd.

The place that calls itself a “farmhouse-inspired brewery” opened in Nov. 2023. With a passion for saisons, the company also brews IPAs + a Belgian wit. Keep up with events in the tasting room and the full food truck schedule online .

Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing Company , 772 Trade St. NW

Some beers pay homage to areas of Winston-Salem (Ardmore Amber Ale, anyone?) and the taproom features reclaimed architectural elements from around the city. Weekly events include Run Like a Fish Run Club on Mondays and
    music bingo on Thursdays.

    Foothills Brewing , 638 W. 4th St. + 3800 Kimwell Dr. (Tasting Room)

The brewery has been open since 2005 and has grown to one of the largest regional craft breweries in the southeastern US. Sing your heart out at weekly karaoke or go behind the scenes during a tour of the Tasting Room the first Tuesday of every month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Incendiary Brewing Company , 486 N. Patterson Ave., Ste. 105

The brewery opened across from Bailey Park in 2018. Its Coalpit Live Music Series draws big crowds to Innovation Quarter + trivia is every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Check out the taproom in Lewisville (5495 Williams Rd.) for more events and to relax on the big lawn.

Joymongers Barrel Hall , 480 West End Blvd.

The Greensboro-based brewery is one of few nationwide to use bourbon and wine barrels in its beer production. The Winston-Salem spot is a tasting room and barrel-aging facility. Live musicians perform every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.

    Lesser-Known Beer Co. , 901 S. Broad St.

Its Czech-inspired Pale lager “the 12°" is brewed with Moravian Pilsner malt and is poured directly from horizontal lagering tanks . Flights and tasters aren’t offered because the creators believe the beer is better in a larger pour size. One you quench your thirst, satisfy your hunger with offerings from food trucks that are frequently set up outside.

    Radar Brewing Company , 216 E. 9th St.

The co-owners worked in other breweries before opening their own taproom in Industry Hill in 2020. Enjoy yoga in the beer garden every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. — it’s $12 and includes a drink of your choice.

    Small Batch Beer Co. , 241 W. 5th St.

What started as a nano brewery in 2014 has turned into a
full restaurant and bar that serves 13 beers on tap. This is the prime spot for soccer fans — you can also get in on action during Geeks Who Drink trivia at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday.

Wise Man Brewing , 826 Angelo Bros. Ave.

Three friends — a chemist, an accountant, and a lawyer — opened the space in 2017. The brewery offers more than 20 selections and hosts food trucks daily. Open mic night starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.
