6 running clubs in Winston-Salem

Inspired to kick up a new fitness routine after watching athletes during 2024 Paris Olympics? Whether you’re running away from your problems (we won’t judge) or training for a marathon while making new friends, here are six run clubs that will motivate you to keep striding .

The Run Club

The club has a playlist to keep you going during your loop. New runners must sign a liability waiver before their first run. The group meets every Thursday at 6 p.m. at Bailey Park for a 5K route, but runners can go at their own pace.

Run Like a Fish

The group adopts a different theme every week with games and activities to keep participants on their toes — literally . The club meets on Mondays at 6 p.m. at Fiddlin’ Fish. New runners to the club will be paired with a partner that will keep them motivated.

Winston Walkers

This group strives to bring women of all ages together in a safe environment to explore beautiful parks around Winston-Salem. The location is shared with women who join the group, which meets on Tuesdays at 5:45 p.m.

Twin City Track Club

This one is for the dedicated runner. The nonprofit organization is one of the largest and oldest running clubs in NC with trail + race options offered every month. Membership costs $20 for 12 months with a family membership option. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. Meeting times and places vary.

Foothills Run Club

The family friendly group explores different routes near its tasting room on Kimwell Drive on Wednesdays. Participants can earn free goodies for every 50 miles logged.

Wise Man Run Club

Join at your own pace and enter the weekly drawings to win gift cards and other prizes. The club meets at the brewery on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
