Clearfield Career & Tech Center hosting wellness clinic for children

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Visiting the doctor can be a new and scary experience for children, so the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) is hosting a special clinic.

Your child can bring their favorite doll, stuffed animal or action figure for an interactive wellness check-up, which the CCCTC calls Toy Box Buddies Wellness Clinic.

During the visit, healthcare students will guide children through the example in a fun and engaging way. The clinic is set to take place on Thursday, April 11 starting at 5 p.m. at 1620 River Road in Clearfield, the home of the CCCTC.

The clinic’s goal is to promote a positive association with healthcare visits and to familiarize children ages three to eight to feel comfortable during future doctor appointments.
