JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra rocked the First Summit Arena at the Cambria County War Memorial to close out their 95th concert season.

Saturday night, the Orchestra collaborated with the rock symphony band Jeans ‘N Classics to perform some of the biggest hits of 70’s rock band The Police and hits from frontman Sting’s solo career.

“Every other year we go to really exciting venues and different places around the region and perform really fun pop concerts. So this is ours for this year, for season 95,” said Erin Codey, Executive Director for the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra.

Codey said that the songs of Sting and The Police triggered great memories for many, especially those fond of 70’s and 80’s music.

The rock collaboration brought the symphony its largest ever indoor crowd.
