ELK COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Storms didn’t stop one lemonade stand in Fox Township, Elk County Wednesday to raise awareness.

The Fox Township Elementary School held its Lemonade Carnival to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for childhood cancer. The event is a great opportunity for kids to learn how to give back and raise awareness for a common cause.

“It’s very heartwarming that the kids do this and we’re really teaching them to give back and to learn what philanthropy is and how to look at a bad situation and make it into a good situation,” First Grade Teacher Diane Bobik said.
