    Things to Watch…
It’s the Mountaineers’ Super Bowl Saturday in Morgantown and the WVU faithful are ready to upset. Former Mountaineer star, and ESPN host Pat McAfee is brining his Friday show to the city, the university already canceled Friday classes. Penn State won’t see a “comfy” environment Saturday, but having opened three of its last four games on the road at Big Ten opponents (Indiana ’20, Wisconsin ’21. Purdue ’22) Penn State has taken and passed this test before.

“We heard they got the whole crowd, loud atmosphere and we just ready, man. We heard they got a lot camaraderie in their place.” said junior linebacker Kobe King. “We’re looking forwards to it. We’re used to crowd noise, used to it being loud. And, you know, guys are going to be locked in.”

Nothing is more important for Penn State than finding a “rhythm” Saturday. With three new coordinators, there is so much unknown around the team and settling into an early groove on the road will be anything but easy. Will Penn State use multiple running backs? What receivers step up? And does Drew Allar fit Andy Kotelnicki’s scheme? Which we saw run at Kansas by more mobile quarterbacks. It’s hard to see a formular where Penn State doesn’t employ the “KISS method” and streamline things.

New rules will take an adjustment for both fans and players. One-way communication from coaches to a player on the field is new this year, as is the use of tablets for video review on the sidelines and coaches box. College football is also bringing the 2-minute warning in this year at the end of both halves.
