    Pomperaug High School student wins statewide Doodle for Google art contest

    SOUTHBURY, Conn. (WTNH) – A Pomperaug High School student’s doodle has been named the statewide winner of the 16th-annual Doodle for Google art contest!

    Anjuii Case’s artwork- titled “2049: A Prosthetic Vision”- is their answer to Google’s contest prompt, which asked students what their wish is for the next 25 years.

    In addition to his art piece, Case’s prompt response was:

    “This illustration is inspired by my passion to become a biomedical engineer. During the next 25 years, I aspire to help those in need through the study and advancement of medical devices with the hopes of creating more accessible solutions for the underprivileged.”

    Case now has a chance of winning a $55,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 tech package for their school, plus their art would be featured on Google.com.

    The national winner will be decided by public voting on the Doodle for Google website . Voting is open until midnight on June 4.
