Earlier this summer, friends of hers set up a pink lemonade stand at the Newington firehouse in her honor.

    Pink was Regan’s favorite color.

A two-mile walk/run is also scheduled in her honor for Sunday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m.

A walk/run will be held in honor of Regan Martins in Newington.

Newington police said the event will be at the track and field at Newington High School.

When News 8 spoke to the Martins earlier this month, her mother Theresa said Regan unexpectedly passed away at the hospital, just hours after a sudden stomachache. An autopsy is being performed to determined what caused the 12-year-old’s death.
