MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) — The Grave Creek Mound Archeological Complex hosted the 42 nd Annual Marshall County Schools Celebration of the Arts.

This year, the Celebration of the Arts added something special to their show. Band, choir, and string ensembles were invited to play music during the event.

Tabetha Morgan, Moundsville Middle art teacher, says that this event really encompasses all forms of art. She is happy the students have an opportunity to showcase their artistic and musical talents.

“Our related arts department actually brainstormed this idea to expand our annual visual arts show to a whole celebration of the arts for all of our fine arts.”

“So much talent here, that’s also really exciting. Every year I’m always looking forward to seeing what comes out of the boxes and what is on the walls.”

Andrea Keller, Cultural Program Coordinator for the Grave Creek Mond Archeological Center

The artwork was arranged and set up thanks to the efforts of the Cameron Art Club.

If you missed the celebration, the Marshall County student’s work will stay at the complex through April.
