MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) — The Marshall County Craft Show kicked off its three-day event with food trucks and indoor vendors at the Marshall County Fairgrounds.

Booths selling everything from baked goods and tote bags to t-shirts and tumblers were lined up, ready to meet new customers.

The funds generated from the craft show will go towards the Marshall County Fair and other events throughout the year.

“I just wanted to organize and get as much going on as possible to give everybody in the valley something to do especially after all this flooding we’ve had. I know I’ve been a bit glumy and kind of down about it so I’m hoping this is something that will perk everybody up and get them out of the house to support some small local businesses.”

Amanda Ashby, craft show organizer and Marshall County Fair board member

Amanda Ashby says she wants to hold fairs and events here, like the ones she remembers from childhood.

If you missed out on Friday’s food trucks, the car show will be held from 12 to 4 pm on Saturday and on Sunday from 10 to 12 pm a couple of well-known dog characters from a popular kids tv show will be accompanied by the Moundsville Fire Department.
