Two students from St. Vincent Parochial School were presented the Youth Guidance Award from the Elm Grove Eagles.

Ayden Muldrew and Layla Wells, 8 th graders at St. Vincent, were chosen due to their hard work, helpfulness, and concern for other students and staff.

Their teacher, Alisa Thompson, was recognized for providing her students with guidance and leadership.

“We give this award every year, it’s a joint effort from all three branches of the Eagles because we think the youth is important. And every year it’s great seeing the family come with the kids, supporting them; and our members come here, and we have just a little banquet, nothing fancy.”

Donald Weisal, co-chairman of the Youth Guidance Award Committee for the Elm Grove Eagles

Bridgestreet Middle School, Triadelphia Middle School and St. Vincent Parochial School alternate every year to honor a new set of students who excel beyond the classroom.

The 65-year program sees the youth as future community volunteers, citizens and leaders and is excited to continue supporting students for years to come.
