    BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) –

Hundreds of seniors and their family members turned out for the Senior Support Fair at the Ohio Valley Mall today.

More than 50 exhibitors were set up in the center court, with information about the services they provide for the elderly.

An audiology clinic was giving free hearing tests and a hospital was doing free blood pressure screenings.

And the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department and Adult Protective Services provided information about staying safe.

This annual event is always popular for its swag bag items.

People were filling their totes with free back scratchers, non-skid socks, bracelets, pens, lanyards, stress balls, popcorn and cookies.

One funeral home gave out rubber ducks for pre-planning your final arrangements, in their words, getting your ducks in a row.

The fair, from 10 to 2, was sponsored by the Belmont County Adult Services Coalition.

“The Senior Support Fair at the Ohio Valley Mall is a one stop shop for older adults throughout the entire Ohio Valley to come out and see what resources might be available to them, should they need to tap into any of them throughout their lives. We have funeral homes, we’ve got non-skilled home care agencies, we’ve got skilled home health agencies. We’ve got hospitals. We’ve got hospice agencies.”
