One of the few drive-ins left in West Virginia plans to open for the 2024 season this weekend.

Hilltop Drive-in, located in Chester, WV will be opening on May 24, 25 and 26.

The first movies being shown by the new owner of the drive-in are Garfield and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

New owner of Roy Pittenger took over for Katie Beaver earlier in May. The drive-in movie theater was founded in 1950 by Roy Pittenger’s father. In 1988 Katie Beaver ran the theater with her father until she took it over completely in 2013.

The box-office will be open at 7:45 pm and the first show will start at 8:30 pm with showtimes being varied.

Admission is $10.00 for those between the ages of 11-54. Ages 5-11 are $5.00 and seniors are $6.00. Those with military ids will get in free.
