BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — If you’re a big fan of the 80s, and who isn’t? You’ll want to get out those leg-warmers and acid-washed jeans because the ultimate 80’s party is happening Friday night.

The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley will be hosting the Inaugural 80s Ax-travaganza at Route 40 Lumber Jaxe in Morristown.

The party gets underway Friday at 6 p.m. and features the ultimate 80s band, Tounge ‘N Cheek.

Tickets are $25, including unlimited ax-throwing, pool, shuffleboard, food, and a prize for the best 80s costume.

Proceeds benefit United Way and the many programs it supports.

All of the United Way fundraisers are crucial to the Ohio Valley in general. We just went through the allocations process, where we could grant $500,000 to 26 non-profit organizations throughout the Ohio Valley, which are doing great work. So things like the dental clinic at Wheeling Health Right or the services provided at the YWCA are some of the crucial programs that we are providing support for, and that’s what fundraiser money goes for.”
