A West Virginia Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about an alleged attempted murderer.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Office said they are looking for Charles Clinton Hess IV, a white male, 5’9, 190lbs, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

The Sheriff’s Office said they responded to Buckner Bend Rd in Walker, WV for a domestic in progress following a stabbing on August 18.

At the same residence, on Monday, August 19 at 2:12 am, 911 was notified of a structure fire.

At the time of the fire, it was believed that no one was that home. The home was ruled a total loss.

The fire is being investigated by the Wood County Fire Investigations Team along with the Wood County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.

Deputies say after the incident the public should be on the lookout out.

The Sheriff’s Office says Hess IV should be considered armed and dangerous and to not approach him and to call 911 immediately.
