Risk for Severe Weather for portions of Ohio and West Virginia

Wheeling, W.Va. (WTRF) – The Storm Prediction Center has outlined the Ohio Valley in a 2 out of 5, Slight Risk for Severe Weather Wednesday evening.

There is a chance that a few of these thunderstorms that form late Wednesday and early Thursday morning could be severe and contain damaging wind or hail.

Storms will likely arrive around dinner time and continue through the night until Thursday morning.

High pressure, which has brought an extreme heat wave to the east coast, will begin to weaken allowing storms to fire up over the lakes and begin to push south.
