PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) – A local Jeep club is making it their goal to help remember the first responders and victims of 9/11. To do this, they are hosting their first 9/11 memorial ride.

The ride will take place at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton. The Two Virginias Jeep Club is hosting the event on September 8, 2024 starting at 10:30 A.M.

Event organizer Ethan Lusk explains the reason behind the ride.

“The kind of inspiration was kind of, when you hear the words ‘9/11’ a lot of people forget that. And that’s what we want to do, we want to remember the victims,” said Lusk.

The event is completely free. It also welcomes any and all vehicles, not only jeeps. No registration is required. Lusk hopes to continue this event for years to come.
