    Man attacked from behind while talking to woman in Detroit bar, police asking for tips to identify suspect [PHOTOS]

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police have released some blurry surveillance photos as they search for a suspect in an aggravated assault at a Detroit bar.

    According to investigators, the 58-year-old victim was speaking with a woman at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, inside a bar in the 24500 block of Grand River Ave.

    That's when police said an unknown suspect approached the man from behind and punched him.

    The victim then fell to the ground and the suspect continued to punch and kick him, according to police.

    The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

    More than a month later, police are still working to identify the man's alleged attacker.

    As the investigation continues, anyone who recognizes the suspect, or has any information about this crime, is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s 8th Precinct at 313-596-5840, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587).

    There is also a $500 reward being offered for the tip that leads to an arrest in this case through DetroitRewards.tv. The public can submit tips at this link. The case number 2407060167 must be included when leaving the tip.
