Shortly after, 20-year-old Blake A. Perry, of Jamestown, attempted to assault an officer and tried to flee police before being tased and taken into custody.

After investigating, police discovered Perry was driving at an excessive speed and crashed into another vehicle injuring that driver.

Perry then got out and assaulted a bystander before attempting and failing to hijack another vehicle.

After the failed hijacking, Perry tried driving away in a van with a passenger inside. That led to a physical altercation where Perry hit the other in the face and attempted to flee in the van as police arrived on the scene.
