The first-ever Sheetz location in Michigan opened its doors to the public on Tuesday. It's located on Wick Rd. in Romulus.
Sheetz said the location is a one-stop shop for everything people need for a road trip. You can get snacks, fresh made-to-order food, gas, drinks, and more.
“You can get everything. You can do everything, all they gotta do is bring a little area where you can buy clothes and all that stuff… it would be great!”
Residents in the community say they are looking forward to the seeing how the new business will improve the community.
During the construction of the gas station, Sheetz pledged $10,000 to the Big Brothers Big sisters of Southeast Michigan, weekly food donations to local food banks and their support to local special olympics chapters thrugh financial and volunteer support.
“We need people and this kind of development to give a chance here in Romulus. So hopefully this is the beginning of many more developments to come.”
The company is looking gto spread the love to more Michigan communities, including Taylor, Macomb and Warren.

See inside the first Sheetz location in Michigan
"This is a huge deal that we've been looking forward to for quite awhile," Nick Ruffner, the public relations manager for Sheetz, said on Monday.
Ruffner said it's a "stop that you can't say no to," and that Sheetz is the "ultimate one-stop shop."
The company was founded in Pennsylvania in 1952 and Michigan is the seventh state they operate in with more than 750 locations nationwide.

Sheetz public relations manager speaks on first Michigan location
Sheetz plans to open 50-60 stores in the state of Michigan over the next five to six years. The company President/CEO says it's a part of a $500 million investment.
Four new Sheetz locations are coming to the Metro Detroit area soon, the company announced this month.
According to the restaurant & convenience chain, the new locations will be at the following addresses:
- 8200 Telegraph Road in Taylor
- 20623 Eureka Road in Taylor
- 45011 Garfield Road in Macomb
- 31925 Van Dyke Avenue in Warren
