Jaylen Brown's summer keeps going from strength to strength

Jaylen Brown helped lead the Boston Celtics to the 2024 NBA championship last season. He was their featured scorer and frequently accepted the role of guarding the opposing team's best player. His stellar performances earned him the Eastern Conference Finals MVP and the NBA Finals MVP awards.

However, Brown has taken his summer to another level following the release of his song with A$AP Ferg. The track is titled "Just Do It," which some view as a shot at Nike, with whom he's had a strained relationship and at least partially blames for his omission from the 2024 Paris Olympics . Grant Hill has dismissed that notion as a "conspiracy theory."

Last summer, it was Stephen Curry who made headlines for his wide-ranging exploits, from winning a golf tournament to taking the stage with Paramore . This year, it's Brown's turn. After winning a championship and proving himself as one of the best two-way forwards in the world, it's clear he's enjoying some well-earned downtime.

Nevertheless, Brown's exploits are likely drawing to a close. The Celtics' season is right around the corner, with training camp expected to begin in the coming weeks. As such, he will need to put all of his underwater training to good use as he looks to establish himself as the Celtics' go-to scoring option for the second straight season and potentially challenge for an All-NBA selection.

Brown's summer is no less than he deserved. However, the time for celebrating is over. The Celtics will start the season looking to prove they're still the best team in the world. Unfortunately, no rap song will help them do that.
