    Shedeur Sanders.

Nebraska had Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders' number during the first half of the teams' Saturday night showdown.

After sacking the potential 2025 first-round NFL Draft pick twice on Colorado's first two drives, the Cornhuskers defense capitalized on a significant mistake.

Defensive back Tommi Hill scored a touchdown on a pick-six on the Buffaloes' third drive.

Colorado began the drive on its own 2-yard line, and Hill expertly read Sanders' first-down throw from deep in the end zone to the right side of the field.

He waltzed past the goal line untouched, giving Nebraska an early 14-0 lead.

The Cornhuskers added two more scores in the dominant first half and led 28-0 at the half.

Nebraska freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola outplayed Sanders, who went into halftime 13-of-23 for 129 yards and the interception while being sacked four times.

Meanwhile, Raiola was 14-of-17 for 126 yards and one touchdown without taking a sack.

The game's been a complete contrast from the one the two teams played last September in Boulder — a 36-14 Colorado win.

Sanders finished that game 31-of-42 for 393 yards and two touchdowns.

He hasn't had nearly as much success this season. And if we've learned anything about Colorado since the start of the last year, it's that if Sanders isn't cooking, the Buffaloes don't eat.
