Sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary in progress off Morris Road in Yelm on Thursday, March 14, according to Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders on Facebook. However, as deputies were responding to this incident, a man with a gun was reported in the Nisqually Pines area, which required deputies to divert from the burglary, according to his post. While deputies responded to the man with a gun, a domestic disturbance was reported in the Clearwood area. According to Sanders, this resulted in all but one of the Lacey area deputies shifting to the Yelm area to back the single Yelm deputy.

“Spring must be here,” Sanders wrote on Facebook.

As of Tuesday, March 19, TCSO Lt. Mike Brooks had no additional information to share regarding the three reports.
