Man arrested in Orange Cove with stolen gun, police say

ORANGE COVE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man was arrested on Wednesday in Orange Cove for allegedly having a stolen gun, according to the Orange Cove Police Department.

Police say 28-year-old Jose Esparza Jr. was arrested during a traffic stop. The traffic stop happened on Wednesday around 10:22 p.m. during the night shift.

The traffic stop was on the 500 block of 5th Street in Orange Cove.

Police say that a records check revealed the firearm was stolen out of Reedley.

Officers also arrested Esparza for suspicion of stolen property, methamphetamine, and paraphernalia.

According to the Orange Cove Police Department, Esparza was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
