Former Tennessee DL Tyler Baron announced his transfer to Miami in the best way possible

After spending a couple of weeks in the NCAA transfer portal, former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Tyler Baron announced his transfer destination on Tuesday evening.

Baron, who initially transferred to Ole Miss this offseason before landing at Louisville, announced that he's transferring to Miami to play for Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes.

The announcement didn't come as a huge surprise as Miami was one of several programs that Baron was considering, along with Ole Miss and USC (he was interested in LSU as well, but his previous SEC agreement with the Rebels prevented LSU from being an option ).

Baron announced his commitment to Miami via an Instagram post that featured Lebron James and his famous "The Decision" moment that aired live on ESPN in 2010.

James famously told ESPN that he was taking his "talents to South Beach" to play for the Miami Heat.

Baron will also be taking his talents to South Beach (Coral Gables, actually). The former Vol, who has NFL talent, will look to build on his solid 2023 season when he totaled a career-high six sacks.

And when Baron takes the field for his first game with the Hurricanes, it'll be against a familiar opponent. Miami travels to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators in Week One.
