One of the Buffalo Bills' most important games of the season just got much easier

The Miami Dolphins have announced some important injury updates, and Buffalo Bills fans will want to pay attention. The latest moves will have a direct impact on the Bills' Thursday Night Football matchup in Miami in Week 2, and is cause for happiness amongst Bills fans.

Miami will be without key players for the first four weeks

Miami will not have linebackers Bradley Chubb and Cam Goode, or offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn available for four weeks, which includes the pivotal early-season matchup against the Bills.

Chubb, in particular, is a huge loss for Miami's defense, and Buffalo will be happy not to see him. Last year, he totaled 11.0 sacks and 73 tackles in his first full season in Miami. His 11 sacks led the team, while his 73 tackles were fifth-most.

Getting out of the gate quickly against Miami will be an important step for Buffalo this season. If they are able to travel to Miami and come away with a win on the road, that will be vital in their quest to win the AFC East for the fifth consecutive year.

The Bills will see Miami again at home in Week 9 on November 3, meaning their chances at a division title could be greatly helped by only the halfway point in the season.

Buffalo does not have an easy schedule

It's been talked about already, but Buffalo's schedule is not an easy one this year. After playing Miami for the second time in Week 9, they will have a rough gauntlet of games starting in Week 11 that will see them host the Chiefs before Buffalo's bye week, then host the 49ers, go on the road to the Rams and then the Lions, and will finish the year with three straight division games with two against the Patriots and one at home against the Jets, who figure to be a tough opponent with a healthy Aaron Rodgers.

What Buffalo does have going for them, though, is an ability to potentially control their own destiny late. Three straight games in the division to finish the regular season will have massive implications on the AFC East standings.

No game can be taken for granted, and their early matchup against the Dolphins getting a little easier due to Chubb being on the PUP list is a bit of injury luck going our way that we'll take right now.
