Kung fu fighting fun in the Basin

ODESSA, Texas (KPEJ) – Just like the song everybody loves kung fu fighting even on Good Morning Basin.

We meet owner of Matthews Martial Arts, Jason Matthews who has is a full-time ninja.

This family run company has been taking over West Texas for 26 years starting in Abilene. They then branched out to Midland and the Odessa.

Both locations teach martial arts in combination which include karate, jiu-jitsu and self-defense all to build up confidence in the area from ages 3 and up.

Matthews taught our lifestyle reporter Bridget Sarpong a few moves that are helpful to have in your back pocket in the video above.
