Memorial Day parade steps off in Lancaster County

COLUMBIA, Pa. (WHTM) — Columbia held its Memorial Day parade Sunday afternoon.

Construction changed the route slightly this year.

It started at 10th and Manor Streets, ending at 7th and Locust.

Various groups and organizations, including local fire companies, took part.

“I just love the spirit,” Althea Ramsay Carrigan, a parade judge, said. “Especially all the volunteers that put it together and then just to see the enjoyment of the crowds.”

Some roads were closed during the parade, and all should be reopen as of Sunday evening.
