Winning $2 million Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket sold in Cuyahoga Falls

Someone in Greater Akron is $2 million richer.

The Ohio Lottery announced Friday that a winning scratch off ticket worth the big bucks was sold in Cuyahoga Falls.

The winner, whose name was not disclosed, purchased the lucky $300 Million Diamond Dazzler scratch-off ticket at a Circle K Tallmadge Road in Cuyahoga Falls.

The $20 investment resulted in the $2 million top prize.

The lottery said the winner chose the cash option of $1 million.

After state and federal tax amounting to about 28%, the winner netted $720,000.

The winnings may also be subject to city income tax, depending on where they reside.

The scratch-off ticket still has two big prizes of $80,000 a year for 25 years available.
