    Fire tore through Altoona home Wednesday night

    ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A home caught fire Wednesday night in Altoona.

    Firefighters were called to the home on the 3700 block of Walnut Avenue at around 11:50 p.m. July 3. The fire reportedly began outside of the home and quickly spread inside, causing significant damage to the first and second floors.

    Altoona firefighters reported that everyone made it out of the home.

    Eight off-duty firefighters had to be called in to help fight the blaze, they said.

    No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
