Michigan basketball coach Dusty May has wasted no time in revamping the Wolverines' depleted roster, bringing in six transfer portal commits this offseason including Florida Atlantic big man Vladislav Goldin.

May is now in hot pursuit of one of the highest ranked Class of 2025 players in the country according to a recent post making the rounds on X.

Darius Acuff, the number one ranked point guard in his class, is now down to four schools including the defending champion Connecticut Huskies and May's Michigan Wolverines.

The news came shortly as Acuff admitted he is no longer considering Coach Mark Pope's Kentucky Wildcats.

Michigan is a finalist for Acuff's services alongside Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks, John Calipari's Arkansas Razorbacks and Dan Hurley's Connecticut Huskies.

Acuff is a native of Detroit, Michigan who now plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, the famous athletic preparatory high school.

He discussed a visit to Michigan back in January saying that the school "just felt like home."

"I was back home," Acuff said. "Going there made Ann Arbor feel like even more of a home. It's about an hour away from home, but it still felt like home," Acuff said about a visit back in January when Juwan Howard was Michigan's head coach.
