A woman is dead after a shooting at an apartment in the Westchase area, according to police.Houston police responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Westpark Drive near S. HOUSTON (KIAH)– As you prepare to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with fireworks, keep in mind that safety should be top of mind to prevent serious injuries. Last week kicked off the first week of fireworks sales and Top Dog Fireworks wants to ensure that Houstonians stay safe and understand where it’s legal to pop. All local cities ban shooting fireworks in their boundaries. Fireworks can’t be shot within 600 feet of a church, hospital, day care center, school or within 100 feet of a place where flammable liquids or fireworks are around. Never throw fireworks out from a vehicle.
